I thoroughly enjoyed this historical novel. I learned more from this book about an important historal peron than I have ever learned from any other similiar type of book. Lincoln had a very tragic life, but exhibited incredible courage living his life. He had a great purpose in life and carried trhough with it. He should be a role model for many of us. The writing was very good throughout the book and kept me connected for several days. I would recommend this book to all avid readers. It was entertaining.Product details

Great book, well written. My husband has read it and loved it, now it is my turn.
Great!! Like being next to Lincoln and seeing his life up to his presidency. Recommend. Worth the read. Look forward to more work by D L Fowler.
Imagine shadowing Abraham Lincoln as he matures from boyhood to Mr. President. Lincoln Raw transcends the history book legend. I was privy to his thoughts, feelings, frustrations, joy and love typically experienced by a close friend. I became that friend.
When I was at the end of the book on , I flipped for the continuation of the story and realized it was over. I know the author and he told me that the book ended when it did, but I was so engaged I forgot and wanted the story to continue. I hope he does write a continuation of Lincoln's story. I found Lincoln Raw very readable and engaging.
I've read a good number of Lincoln novels and put this one at or near the top. Well-told, smooth-flowing, engaging, and witty. Kudos to DL Fowler
I just finished D L Fowler’s book on Abraham Lincoln. It is a must read for those who want to understand the “Man” Lincoln. Within the pages of Lincoln Raw we find an individual of tremendous complexity and vulnerability. Fowler’s sensitivity to psychodynamics, and his passionate grasp of American history brings us a new and important dimension of the United State's 16th president. I believe it is impossible to a have a completely intelligent conversation about this political icon without including Lincoln Raw.

"Lincoln Raw". A Biography is an extraordinary work of historical fiction. This book brought Lincoln to life through the Author's use of actual papers of Lincoln's and phenomenal research. I could not put it down, With all I've known about Lincoln, this book enhanced my knowledge. I highly recommend it.
